Yup, that's the one...currently on ITV4 on a Wednesdayand Sunday...at episode 14 out of 22 I think... cool, although probably a bit late at episode 14 to jump in. I have just started Deadwood season 2 box set and if it's anwhere near as good as the first series I'll be well chuffed - awesome stuff!!

Deadwood series 2 wis top feckin drawer - onwards to Season 3!! some cracking quotes from the series: Al Swearengen: In life you have to do a lot of things you don't fucking want to do. Many times, that's what the fuck life is... one vile fucking task after another. Al Swearengen: Get a fucking haircut. Looks like your mother fucked a monkey. Wild Bill Hickok: Some goddamn point a man's due to stop arguing with his-self and feeling twice the goddamn fool he knows he is 'cause he can't be something he tries to be every goddamn day without once getting to dinnertime and fucking it up. I don't want to fight it anymore, understand me Charlie? And I don't want you pissing in my ear about it. Can you let me go to hell the way I want to? Wild Bill Hickok: That dropped eye of yours looks like the hood on a cunt to me, Jack. When you talk, your mouth looks like a cunt moving. E.B. Farnum: Separate rooms, I'll arrange that by tomorrow, but today I can't fix it, unless you kill a guest. Al Swearengen: God rest the souls of that poor family... and pussy's half price for the next 15 minutes. Calamity Jane: You with that ugly fuck by your own free will, Doc? Doc Cochran: Yes, yes I am. I'd rather be lucky than smart. Al Swearengen: Run for your fucking life. Al Swearengen: Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. Trixie: Tread lightly those who live in hope of pussy. amen!! ;D

Deadwood 3 all done too - what am I gonna do now!! Probably best television show I've ever seen. It feels almost unfair to compare it with other shows as it seems to be dealing in a different currency. Three seasons of finely honed character exposition, philosophical ponderings and lyrical beauty have left me totally captivated. On top of the pulsating characters, the Shakespearean dialogue and cleverly weaved intrigue it is at turns hugely funny, raucous and moving. Take Robin Weigert's Calamity Jane who is consumed with self-loathing and pissed nine-tenths of the time. Mrs Bullock's schoolchildren have started asking about Jane scouting for General Custer and the school teacher asks Jane if she might fashion a story of her experiences. "Custer was a cunt. The End" is Jane's offering. Hearst: "Elections cannot inconvenience me... they ratify my will, or I neuter them." Inspirational and motivational whoremistress Joani Stubbs gets the girls in line with lines like - "go wash your mouth - you got seven kinds of cock breath". But it is Brian Cox, as the dandy actor Jack Langrishe, who is the third season's real star. "I am barely speakin' to you!" he kids Swearengen, who himself mutters an exasperated "Oh god" when he spots his old friend's stagecoach. Langrishe has brought his stable of players to Deadwood to open up a theater, his preferred locale being the former brothel. Cox clearly relishes the part: Langrishe is probably the only man on earth who could smack Swearengen's ass My favorite Ellsworth line: "I may have fucked my life up flatter than hammered shit, but I stand here before you today beholden to no human cocksucker." Langrishe: what claim has your piety on my deference? Shaughnessy: Fuck yourself! Langrishe: and Fuck you sir! Hearst: "You keep calling yourself Alcibiades to my Socrates. Are you proposing some sort of a homosexual connection between us?" Hugo Jarry: Oh shit, I forgot that part of the story. Jack Langrishe: (to Chesterton) Dost thou know Dover? There is a cliff whose high, unbending head looks fearfully on the confined deep. Bring me but to the brim of it, and from that place... I shall no leading need. Here’s the fly tower. If you mount up, take firm a rail in each hand. Doc Cochran: Leave the demons to God and trust the pain to me. Swearengen: (to Richardson) Fuckin pagan. Tell your god to ready for blood. Al Swearengen: (to Johnny Burns) Would you close your flap, that I don't forego my boiled eggs? could keep going on....... but to those who know..... Heng Dei!!

The 4th and concluding series has been cancelled and replaced with a couple of two hour specials by the miserable contract renaging bastards at HBO. each episode may have cost $5 million to make but it was a tenth of the cost of that piece of shite "Rome" and had every bit as big a fan base. Send "Bullock" to the HBO offices for some justice!!! as Al said to "Jewel" going up the stairs - "every step is a fuckin adventure" (won't mean jack shit to ya unless you seen the series)

Without doubt one of the best ever made!! now what next? mmmm....got the 3 hour pilot which leads into the Battlestar Galactica first series, that should do it ;D - hope it's not just another poxy sci-fi series but has a bit of depth to it (especially coming after band of brothers and Deadwood).

Dexter...ITV1 and possibly cable...starts Wed 27/02 Watched the first two so far - it's a bit fucked up, bit one dimensional and the characters are cardboard or see through depending on yr choice of metaphor bit it's not a complete waste of time. Medium is way better though - watching series one at the moment!! Still missing DEADWOOD - the best - full stop.
