Are there companies other than Procter & Gamble who still test cosmetics and other products on animals? Uncaged.co.uk are having a boycott day of P&G products on the 24th May. Will anyone be taking part, or do you already boycott?

Botox and Dysport are not currently licensed for cosmetic use in the UK. However, doctors are prescribing them for thousands of 'patients'. They are both created from botulinum, which is grown from bacteria. The toxin is volatile and each batch can be different. For this reason tests on mice are used to establish the potency and the dilution needed to provide safe doses. The doses used in Britain are manufactured in Ireland. The UK licence requires that each new batch is tested on mice.
Unilever are pretty bad as well: Cosmetics: Rimmel, Cutex, Elizabeth Arden, Sensiq Shampoo: All Clear, Cream Silk, Dimension, Pears, Sunsilk, Timotei Soap: Dove, Knights Castile, Lifebouy, Lux, Pears, Sunsight Toothpaste: Shield, Signal, SR, Mentadent Washing powder and laundry liquids: Persil, Radion, Surf, Wisk
L'Oreal have got a bad track record too.
Not that I'm an expert on cosmetics you understand!!!

and lush stuff smells great as well.......bit expensive but looking at the ethics behind their produce and the quality of their merchandise, well worth the extra.
